Most outdated courses have been revised and innovative teaching methods are being introduced. He did M.Sc. in Botany, from Panjab University and Ph.D. from Rutgers University, USA. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham He was with TERI for 8 years before taking over as the Director of Delhi University South Campus. Prof. Pental’s research has led to major break through in hybrid seed production technologies. He is the architect of Institute of Life Long Learning at Delhi University. In 2004 he was awarded Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship. He is also the recipient of several Awards from India and abroad. He is the elected member of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, and Indian National Science Academy. Several research Collaborations with foreign universities have been signed by him Today in recognition of his pioneering contribution in the field of Higher Education the Hon’ble Speaker is presenting him the Capital Foundation National Award [ 2007 ][/box]
